This technique uses fewer grafts than is used in strip harvesting and follicular unit transplantation. It has been proven to be more effective.
Hair transplant, Guest Posting often called 'body contouring surgery' is a type of cosmetic surgery that is used to reduce hair loss in women and men. The procedure involves taking hair from one part of the body (the donor site) and transferring it to the recipient site. The procedure involves removing the skin from where the hair was to be transplanted and is usually very successful.
The method of hair transplantation can be divided into three basic methods. The first is the follicular unit extraction method, more FUE. This procedure involves tiny plugs of skin that have been removed from the recipient site by removing the hair follicles.
In this method, tiny skin grafts are taken from the recipient site and then implanted in small strips on the scalp. The strips are then removed when developed and the grafts are then placed. Grafts may need to be replaced several times as they need to develop. As they develop, a scar develops around them.
The third procedure is known as autologous fat transfer. This procedure involves using excess fat from another area of your body, which is collected and then transferred to the scalp. The grafts come from your own body or a donor or using a fat extraction tool. The process is more complex than Strip Harvesting because the fat must be extracted from a source that is not compatible with the skin. The process will take several weeks, as the autologous grafts must undergo various procedures before they can be placed on the donor's scalp.
The fourth procedure is also referred to by the name of the local anesthesia transplant unit, or LAS transplant office. This method uses general anesthesia. One graft is taken at a time while your scalp is opened for the procedure.
The fifth and final step of streak harvesting is called Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT). This procedure involves removing the entire follicular unit and opening the scalp to allow the follicle to regenerate. Once the follicular unit is transplanted, the hair begins to grow. Because this procedure requires anesthesia, it may be more expensive than previous procedures and may need to be performed under local anesthesia.
